D.A.D.S. Omaha –
Omaha is one of 24 Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome
chapters in the United States.
Our chapter serves the Omaha/Council Bluffs metropolitan
area and our first meeting was held April 24,
2008.
Our mission statement is the same as the other
23 chapters – To assist and support, through
fellowship and action, the fathers and families
of individuals with Down syndrome.
We have become members of a fraternity we did
not ask to join which has created many questions.

Our monthly
meeting and events
allows dads to learn from other dads
as we share the unique experiences of raising
a child with Down syndrome.
D.A.D.S. offers an opportunity for dads of individuals
with Down syndrome to ask
questions, network, and enhance their knowledge
of resources and advocacy
while providing a safe atmosphere of support where
men can openly share.
We enjoy celebrating
the accomplishments of your child by bragging
to other D.A.D.S. who understand the significance
of the achievement.
