DADS Omaha is one of over 50 Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome chapters in the United States. Our chapter held its first meeting in April 2008 and serves the entire Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area.

Monthly Meetings
Our monthly meetings and events give DADS the opportunity to learn from other DADS as we
share the unique experiences of raising an individual with Down syndrome. We discuss the
many challenges, mentor one another, and best of all, we love celebrating accomplishments
together.
We have a common thread that brings us together and allows us to be vulnerable with one
another. Often, our conversations revolve around health, mobility, behaviors, IEPs, and other
topics that can be difficult to navigate alone. This is not just valuable for new fathers but for all
stages of the parenting journey as our loved ones grow and change.
We invite expert speakers to discuss developmental, educational, financial, social, and other
important topics that impact the lives of individuals with Down syndrome. And of course, we
share stories and experiences that are unique to fathers and father figures on this special
journey.
